We are very sad that our lovely Reception unit isn’t bursting with happy children learning and are very much looking forward to when it is safe and our little ones return.
In the meantime, for children in Reception we have put together a pack of work to complete at home along with a daily timetable. The first pack has been delivered to your home by a member of staff or in the post.
The work we have provided your child with is designed to last a week, children should not be expected to complete the work in a day.
As well as the printed resources that you will be provided with, we will also be uploading a daily phonics session, and a maths video each day. This follows the usual whole class teaching children receive every day in school. They will be able to see a familiar teacher and follow the video joining in at home.
We want to know how your child is getting on a support you as best we can, therefore we will be contacting you by phone weekly.
Please remember that if you need support or help you can contact your child’s class teacher through the Reception Year group’s email address: Reception@belmore.school with any questions or concerns you may have.
We want you to encourage your child to complete their work and share it with their teacher. Please can you photograph at least one piece of work a week and send this via the year group email address.

Useful Links to Online Learning Sites
The Internet is an invaluable tool for teaching and learning and is an amazing resource. However, it is very important to keep your child safe online. There are many sites online that provide a wealth of up to date information about how parents/carers can support their child with online safety. Please do visit these sites and 'Be SMART online!'
