Belmore had a great day celebrating World Book Day and everyone's costumes looked fantastic.
The children spent the day reading books and discussing their favourite characters. We had a fabulous day and the children wore some amazing costumes.
On Tuesday 3 March, parents/carers were invited to visit classrooms as part of World Maths Day. After a short presentation by Ms Sahota, who shared some easy ways for parents/carers to practice maths activities with children in every day life. Parents/carers then went into their child's Maths lesson.
Children at Belmore were taught the importance of regular toothbrushing. It helps to remove the bacteria and plaque that cause tooth decay and gum disease.
It is recommended that everybody brushes their teeth twice a day – in the morning and before going to bed at night.
Belmore celebrated Pancake Day with all the children taking part in pancake races. The most exciting part was when the adults showed off their skills at pancake flipping!
Everyone had a great time.
During the second week of February Belmore got creative once again! This Art Week was very special as it was created in loving memory of Ruth Green, a past staff member who had a passion for art and wanted to celebrate this by awarding those with fantastic artistic skills.
With a full 7-piece live band made up of some of the UK’s leading musicians, backing singers, and the internationally acclaimed conductor David Lawrence - it makes for one of the most exciting and memorable musical experiences you can imagine.
This week our children took part in National Story Telling week. This was an amazing opportunity for children and adults to share their favourite stories across the school.
Children and teachers alike enjoyed a very festive Christmas lunch. A big thank you to all staff at Accent Catering who put together a delicious Christmas meal and to all the SMSA's for their hard work.
Belmore children and staff dazzled the school in their festive knitwear for Christmas Jumper Day. Everyone was in true Christmas spirit and had a great day preparing for our Christmas Market.
Our Christmas Fair this year was a great success and everyone was in true Christmas spirit. Santa had many little visitors to his grotto and enjoyed giving presents throughout the afternoon!
On Thursday 12 December a group of children from all year groups paid a surprise visit to the General Mills Annual General Meeting at the Odeon in Uxbridge. General Mills and Greggs are the companies who donate each month to our Breakfast Club.
