Belmore Primary Academy has a number of children who have a diagnosis of Autism, so it was great we were able to acknowledge this week, and also learn more about Autism.
On Monday some children from Belmore Years 1 to 6 visited the Van Gogh Experience near Liverpool Street in London.
We raised awareness about Down Syndrome by the children and staff wearing odd socks.
The children were able to dress up in red, as something funny or as a superhero. There were definitely a lot of smiles as we supported this worthy cause. With the help of some generous families giving a donation, we were able to raise £189.60.
Belmore had a great day celebrating World Book Day and everyone's costumes looked fantastic.
The children spent the day reading books and discussing their favourite characters. We had a fabulous day and the children wore some amazing costumes.
