Teacher Bio

Favourite subject at school and why: My favourite subject at school has always been Math. I love problem solving and exercising my brain. I enjoy being challenged and challenging others. I love how Math can be taught in so many ways, as a game, in a poem, as a song, when going shopping. It is endless!

Favourite children’s book you have read: My favourite book is Journey to Jo’Burg by Beverley Naidoo. It is about 2 courageous children who set on a journey to Jo’Burg to find their mother and bring her back to save their ill little sister. I found this book very heart warming and loved how it taught me about the history in South Africa.
What are you looking forward to teaching next year? I am really looking forward to teaching Science next year. I enjoy being a scientist and carrying out lots of exciting experiments.

Any other info: I love swimming and travelling. I am also a huge animal lover. I visited Malaysia and spent a day as an elephant keeper. My role was to prepare the elephants dinner, feed them, bathe them, clean up after they went to the toilet and put them to bed! I also had a monkey climb onto my head and steal food from my bag!
